Questions
What is playable on this page?
A daily XI everyone in the world receives the same day, a free run that deals fresh eras, a blind draft with the figures hidden, and a salary-cap version where you cannot afford everybody you want.
Which formats and countries are in the pool?
Careers from every major Test nation, with the long-form record as the spine because that is where the game keeps its most complete numbers. Cards carry real runs, wickets and averages rather than an overall rating.
How do you compare an uncovered-pitch batter with a modern one?
By what an average meant in his time. Batting on uncovered pitches against unrestricted fields produced numbers that look modest now and were extraordinary then, so each career is read against its own conditions rather than against a modern flat-track era.
Do I need bowlers as well as batters?
A side of famous batters loses matches it should draw. You need someone who can bowl a side out twice, and the XI you build has to be balanced the way a real selection panel would balance it.
What is the daily cricket board?
One shared XI per calendar day. Everyone gets the same players in the same order, so the table afterwards reflects selection rather than luck.
Are all-rounders treated properly?
They are scored on both disciplines, which is what makes them valuable and what makes them rare. A genuine all-rounder frees a seat in your XI; a batter who bowls occasionally does not.
